Privacy Policy

This policy describes information associated with a visit to Arizona Court Docket, how the site uses it, and the limited circumstances in which it may be shared. Browsing the site means you accept these practices. A search submitted through a third-party tool is also subject to that provider's own policy.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

If you enter a name or case number in a search box, the information is sent to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and returns its results. Arizona Court Docket does not store or log search terms on its own systems.

Messages and Contact Submissions

An email sent to us is retained so we can respond and handle the request. We limit access to our team and do not share the message outside the organization unless law requires disclosure.

Data We Gather Automatically

When a page loads, our systems may record technical details that help describe the visit, including:

  • The time and date of each page view
  • The browser and its version
  • Your device type and operating system
  • The page you visited and the time spent there
  • The referring site, when one is provided
  • The IP address associated with your device

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files saved on your device. We use them, along with analytics services, to understand broad traffic patterns such as which pages are visited and where users leave. You can block cookies in your browser settings, though a blocked cookie may affect how some site features work.

What We Do With This Data

  • Reviewing which pages visitors use and where changes may help
  • Delivering a search request to the provider that operates the tool
  • Maintaining site performance and diagnosing errors
  • Displaying advertising, which may be interest-based
  • Keeping the site available and operating reliably

No Court-Record Data on File

Arizona Court Docket does not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of court case files. Its content describes how to locate Arizona court information through the statewide Public Access locator and the court that keeps the official file. Superior Court records remain with the county Clerk of the Superior Court; Justice and Municipal Court records remain with their own court clerks. The Arizona Public Records Law, A.R.S. §§ 39-121 et seq., applies to records held by public bodies, while judicial records are governed by Arizona Supreme Court Rule 123. Electronic access to case records also has a distinct framework under ACJA §1-604. Those public-record routes do not turn this private site into a court-record custodian or a consumer reporting agency.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies operate the search boxes. A term entered there is handled under the provider's privacy notice, including that provider's retention and disclosure practices. We do not control those practices, so review the provider's policy before sending information through its tool.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to an Arizona court, county clerk, statewide case tool, legal aid service, or outside search provider. Once you leave this site, the destination's terms and privacy practices apply. Check them before providing personal information.

Some advertising partners may use their own systems to measure activity across websites or select ads. Arizona Court Docket does not control those systems.

Who Might See Your Data

We do not sell personal data. Information may be shared with these service categories when needed:

  • Government or law-enforcement bodies responding to a valid legal demand
  • Analytics providers that measure site traffic and performance
  • Search companies that process a query entered into their box
  • Advertising networks that deliver ads on the site

How We Protect Your Data

We use standard safeguards for information collected through the site. No internet service can promise perfect security, however, and we cannot guarantee that an unauthorized access event will never occur.

Users Under 18

Arizona Court Docket is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor's information was submitted, contact us so we can review and remove it.

Your Data Rights

Arizona's Public Records Law, A.R.S. §§ 39-121 et seq., concerns records held by government bodies; it does not grant access to this private site's internal records. Court-file access is governed separately by Arizona Supreme Court Rule 123 and the remote-access provisions of ACJA §1-604. You may contact us to ask for a copy, correction, or deletion of information you submitted directly to this site, or to ask that an available processing choice be changed. A request is handled under applicable law and the site's actual records.

  • Request a copy of information associated with your direct submission
  • Ask us to correct a detail that is inaccurate
  • Request deletion where the information can be removed
  • Ask to opt out of processing choices that are available

Updates to This Policy

We may revise this policy as practices change. A revised version will appear here with its effective date, so check this page for the terms that currently apply.
